For Scorpius Malfoy it had been one of the more stressful days he didn’t know how stressful fifth years get with OWL exams he knew studying for them would be tough but he never really understood how tough since he reached his fifth year. His father had told him that he would do well but Scorpius wasn’t even sure if he would pass since he hated to study and then there was Quidditch practice, there was an upcoming game with Gryffindor soon so Scorpius’s life so far was a little bit hectic which is why he had decided that he would take a break from it all and stroll down the lake.
Making his way down towards the lake Scorpius had changed out of his Quidditch uniform and were in school robes. Scorpius had just came from the grand hall after he had his dinner. Scorpius wasn’t at all looking forwards for the OWL’s but he knew that they must be done, he pushed the thoughts from his mind as he continued to walk down towards the lake, it had been a while since he visited the lake but have crossed paths with it every now and again. Yawning as Scorpius made a turn and continued down the main path.
It didn’t take Scorpius long to walk down the path and come face to face with the lake. It would be sunset soon and he would have to go back to the common room but that wasn’t for a while away yet so Scorpius had time to relax. Scorpius was glad that tomorrow would be Saturday it meant that the weekend was his and he didn’t have to go to class. Taking of his socks and shoes Scorpius sat on the edge of the lake and put his feet into the water, he laid down on the ground and looked up into the sky letting the week become memories.

For too long, Rose had been staring at the pages of her spell books. She had been in the library for so long, she wasn't sure what the rest of the school looked like. She'd seen the library, her classrooms, and only her dorm to sleep. Eating had become less than important, and Al, who had been studying with her, had brought her food from the kitchens and from dinner when he'd gotten the chance. The good thing about your cousin being in your year is that you could study all the same subjects together. Rose and Al shared a bunch of classes, though they were in separate Houses. Usually, Rose often found herself helping her older cousins and younger cousins in Transfigurations, but since she had OWLs to study for, she didn't really have the time.
Before long, the words on the pages began to blend together, and she developed a minor headache behind her left eye. Feeling overwhelmed, she finally closed her books and reshelved the ones she no longer needed, before heading outside to get some fresh air before bed. The sun was setting, and the light was coming through the Forbidden Forest. She took a deep breath, the crisp air entering her lungs. It was nice to breathe something other than the mildewy books the library had. Rose knew her mum had done nearly the same in her fifth year. She took after her mum, at least in the brains. She definitely had her father's red hair, though it could be as frizzy and unruly as her mum's.
Rose walked down the hill and found a nice tree to sit against, facing Black Lake. She closed her eyes and rested her head against the tree trunk, but when she heard a slight splash, her attention was turned to Scorpius Malfoy. He seemed to be enjoying the cool water, and Rose wasn't sure how she'd missed him laying there before. "Be careful," she warned, "or some grindylow may take hold of your ankle and pull you under." Rose had heard the story of her aunt Fleur during the Triwizard Tournament she and Uncle Harry had participated in a number of times.

Relaxing in the water Scorpius continued to stare out into the lake with his feet in the water. His father was proud of him when he sent an owl saying that he made it into the Slytherin Quidditch team as Draco’s old position seeker, Scorpius guessed it must have been in the family genes. Scorpius had been playing Quidditch for his house for two years now. Yawning once more Scorpius remained relaxed he was enjoying the water soaking his feet too much to even notice anyone else walk by. Scorpius was glad it was the weekend it meant that he could have more time on his hands to get things done.
Scorpius still hadn’t done that Defense Against The Dark Arts homework that was due on Monday which was on werewolves something Scorpius wasn’t looking forward to when he got back to his common room, he really should have paid more attention in studying but it couldn’t be helped now in fact Scorpius didn’t like studying to begin with though he knew that he had to put his nose into a book eventually to these OWL’s over and done with for the year and then it was only his next big exams but that wasn’t until his seventh year.
Scorpius didn’t even know that someone was behind him. Hearing a girl’s voice Scorpius turned his head and noticed Rose Weasley speaking to him. Scorpius smiled back at her. “If the grindylow do attack I have you to protect me right?” Scorpius replied back to her. Even though his father banned him to ever get close to a Potter or a Weasley his mother had explained that she would be happy with whom ever though only recently he had been having strange feelings for Rose that he couldn’t quiet explain and if James found out then all hell would break down but Scorpius wasn’t worried about James.
