Teddy had been up all night due to his head boy duties, well not really all night as it was it was shortly after one in the morning when he was making his way back to the Gryffindor Tower. Turning the corner he made his was to the staircases that would take him right up to the tower though he hoped that they didn’t take him anywhere else as he would like to get back to the common room as quickly as possible. Yawning loudly he held out his wand as lumos was guiding him. The bright light from the tip of his wand shone on he could see clearly now which was good it meant that he wouldn’t be walking in the dark.
Making another turn Teddy climbed the first of many staircases it was hear that he had to tell of a couple of Slytherin’s because they were out of bed but other than that it was just a simple walk in the park for him. Making his way up the final staircase Teddy was glad that he had a smooth path to the common room, on his first day however Teddy got lost though the teacher understood why he was out of his common room and showed him the correct path he was just lucky to have met a Gryffindor teacher that day. Yawning once more Teddy made his way down the hallways to the fat lady painting.
It didn’t take Teddy long to reach the fat lady he smiled at her when she asked him for the password. Saying the correct password Teddy was allowed inside of the common room which was good it meant that he would be able to sleep or maybe he should get that charms homework done first before sleep. Lowering his head Teddy had decided on homework first then sleep. Walking up to his dormitory he grabbed his notebook, parchment, quill and ink. Sitting down on one of the armchairs Teddy began to write the first paragraph of his three page essay. This early morning Teddy’s hair was a flaming red color, though there wasn’t anyone around the common room it didn’t really mater to him.

Victoire was having one of those sleepless nights. It was horrible. Between the tossing and turning, for the three hours that she had been in her dorm, trying to fall asleep in her bed, she might of gotten half an hours of sleep so far. Groaning as she turned back onto her back, Victoire tired once again to shut her brain off. But, as it proved to be over the past few hours, the harder you tired to sleep, the harder it was.
Victoire blamed Defense Against the Dark Arts for her insomnia. She had a test in the class tomorrow, and felt oddly unprepared. She had no clue why. She had studied for that test for the last few days, but she was still nervous about it. Instead of turning on her side once again, and letting out a loud sigh, Victoire got up out of her bed, and pulled her DADA book off the top of her chest, and grabbed a sweater. If she couldn't sleep, why not make the best of it and study some more, opposed to staying in her dorm, and possibly waking up the other girls.
Walking down the stairs, Victoire balanced her books around as she put her sweater on over her pajama top. It wasn't easy, but after a brief stop to put her books down, she succeeded on putting it on. Thankfully, she joked to herself, she had already had socks on so she didn't have to juggling putting them on too. Getting to the common room, Victoire was surprised to the fire still on, with someone still sitting in one of the arm chairs. Although she was hoping that it would be empty, and maybe even help her sleep more, once Victoire's eyes landed on the flaming red hair, trying to figure out who it was in the common room, it didn't take long for her to realized that the abnormal hair color could only belong to one person (ruling all the Weasley's out of course).
"Teddy!" Victoire exclaimed, at a volume that was pushing the limits for it being so late at night. "What are you doing still up?" She asked, making her way across the common room, and sitting on the couch next to the arm chair.

Teddy brushed his hands through his flaming red hair, right now he looked more like a Weasley then anything else but that didn’t matter to him right not, heck it wouldn’t matter to him ever. Teddy had charms first thing and it was a double which was never any good and he left it to the very last moment as well. Teddy stopped for a moment after writing the first paragraph of the charms essay his wand was sitting on the arm of the armchair even though he didn’t really need it Teddy thought that having it around couldn’t help.
Yawning again it was really late but it was Teddy’s fault for leaving his charms homework to the last moment, he expected that he would get a few hours sleep but then again he could be wrong as well. Teddy soon heard a voice that was probably breaking the sound barrier, looking around the room he spotted the only person in the world that would have the voice that he just heard. Teddy smiled as he placed his quill back into the ink jar and put it firmly on the floor so he wouldn’t spill it. Teddy wondered the same thing to why Victorie would be up this late hour.
Standing up from the armchair that he was once sitting on seconds before Teddy walked over towards the couch and sat down next to Victorie. They weren’t official yet but everyone seemed to know about the two and James reminded Teddy about it every day which was starting to get on his nerves a little bit. “Just finished up head boy duties and realized that I haven’t finished my charms homework.” Teddy explained. “Which is due tomorrow morning first thing.” Teddy added in. “How about you? I thought you were asleep when I left.” Teddy asked.

Victoire didn't know what she was expecting when she came down to the common room at this hour. Nothing? Other sleepless people like herself? Honestly, she just wanted the large, quiet room, to hopefully put her to sleep while studying, because at this point, if she didn't sleep, she would do bad on this test. So when she did come down to see a figure standing there, she was a bit upset. But it was Teddy. One of the only people she could constantly see and not get upset over.
As Teddy moved from the arm chair, to the spot next to her on the couch, Victorie shifted her position, so she could focus on him sitting next to her, as opposed to him across at the arm chair. As Teddy sat next to her, she took a moment to focus on his current hair color - a "Weasley red" as some may call it. Thinking quickly,Victoire was unsure if she had ever seen him don this color before. Of course she probably had, knowing him from such a young age, but no particular time came to mind.
Victoire nodded as Teddy explained why he was still awake. Head Boy duties. She should of known, being lucky enough to get the late prefect patrol shift every so often. "Oh," Victoire said, as he mentioned his paper due tomorrow, "Fun..."
"I was," Victoire said, starting her story as to why she was still awake, "Well, I was attempting to sleep, but I can't." Her eyes were probably dark as a sign of her sleeplessness. Oh god, she thought to herself, if her eyes were dark as a sign of sleeplessness, she didn't even want to think about her hair . Running her hands over her hair a few times, attempting to neat up what she assumed was a mess. "And I've got a test in the morning, which I blame for my insomnia," She added, holding up her DADA book with a less than enthused look on her face.

Teddy couldn’t remember is his hair color was ever this flaming red around Victorie though then again he had changed his hair style many, many times over the years they have known each other so it could have been a possibility. Teddy listened to Victorie as she explained to him why she was up this late so Victorie was kind of in the same boat that he was in. Teddy was glad that it was only just him and Victorie when you had a family as big as the Weasley’s and Potter clan there tend to be very little private time with the people you care about the most.
At most times Teddy wouldn’t be worried about this but at times like now he was really glad to have alone time with Victorie. Teddy had wondered when they would be making things official but he gathered that it took time like everything else. Teddy watched as Victorie was running her hands through her hair probably worried sick on how it looks at a time like this. Teddy just knew the little things about Victorie the same things that Victorie knew about him, he smiled back at her it was then Teddy noticed how tired Victorie was from the darkness around her eyes.
“Don’t worry about you’re hair it’s as beautiful as you are right now.” Teddy explained to Victorie. Teddy smiled once more before taking a peek at Victorie’s DADA work. “Would you like me to help you study for it?” Teddy asked. “Seeing as we’re both up I could finish up my charms homework while helping you at the same time.” Teddy added in as he leaned back to get a little bit more comfortable but knowing that he would have to get up soon to get his equipment for begin his charms homework yet again.

Although it was late into the night, Victoire was more than happy to sit up with Teddy. It was hard to get a quiet moment, or a moment where someone wasn't listening in, in such a large family like Victoire's, which was where she saw Teddy most. If it wasn't for her Uncle Harry being Teddy's godfather, Victoire didn't know she'd know Teddy as good as she did. She loved her family, all billion of them, but sometimes its was nice to have private time, even to oneself.
It was weird that, up until the point she thought of it, Victoire didn't care what she looked like. Yes, she thought she would be down here alone, but even after she noticed Teddy, she didn't care, she was just that comfortable with him. Normally, Victoire was very meticulous that she looked good, if not perfect. She figured she picked it up from her mother, who even on her days to work, looked like perfection.
Victoire blushed as Teddy told her she looked beautiful. "Oh stop," She said, turning her head down. "If I look as tired as I feel, it can't be that pretty." As he offered his help for her studying, Victoire shook her head."Your paper is more important," She said, putting her book back down, "I've studied so much anyways. I'm just restless.

Teddy was only telling the truth to Victorie when he said that she looked beautiful so when he noticed Victorie he merely laughed. “What? I was only telling the truth Victorie.” Teddy explained to her. “Honest.” Teddy added in with a huge grin on his face. Right now Teddy felt the most happiest and all his doubts in life were washed away he thought that this might be the reason why his father chose Harry to be his godfather though his true reasons Teddy would never know but he was just glad that Harry was the one that was chosen it also meant that he was surrounded by a lot of people that cared about him.
Teddy listened further to Victorie as she continued to speak to him explain that his paper was more important, he smiled at her again. Yawning once more he didn’t know how long it’ll take him to complete this paper but with the presence of Victorie he was sure that he could get it done in half the amount of time now. Standing up from the couch he stretched out a little bit and then relaxed once more, he walked over and grabbed his equipment and made his way back to the couch and sat next to Victorie once more.
Teddy continued to write down on the parchment and it didn’t take him long to get a whole page down before looking back up towards Victorie again. “Victorie? Could I ask you something?” Teddy asked suddenly. Teddy guessed that Victorie and him never really had the official talk yet though he wondered if Victorie had guessed what he wanted to talk to her about.

Victoire knew he was being honest, she just didn't feel deserving of that complement. At least not this late at night. "I know," She said, looking back up, smiling, "Thank you.
As Teddy yawned, Victoire didn't know if he was yawning because he was tired, or if her 'story' was boring him. Pulling her hands out of her sleeves, Victoire pulled her feet up under herself, and opened her DADA textbook. Nonverbal spells. How could you have a text on nonverbal spells? The thought alone puzzled Victoire. Maybe that's why she was having such a restless night - wondering how they would do there test. There had to be a practical to go along with the theory that the professor forgot to mention, or Victoire didn't hear. She was betting on the second option.
Victoire's studying, or flow of ranting, was interrupted by Teddy. “Victoire? Could I ask you something?”
What could he have to ask, Victoire thought, first thing popping into her mind. It wasn't like she could help with work a year about her. "Yeah," Victoire said, looking up from the book in her lap. "What's up?" She asked, her mind just now triggering. Was this the beginninghe of the talk? And she had asked 'what's up'. Mentally kicking herself, Victoire came to figure that her brain could not function properly past midnight. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Teddy was beginning to get a little bit tired he expected that it was only because of the late time. Teddy had done many all nighters because of homework before but after a while they began to take their toll. Teddy wasn’t quiet sure on how Victorie would take the talk but he gathered that here and now where they were completely alone would be the best place to have it seeing as everyone was mostly asleep but knowing James you weren’t quiet sure on that part. Teddy looked back at Victorie for a moment as he waited for an answer back to his earlier question.
Teddy smiled back when Victorie replied back with ‘what’s up’ though of course Teddy didn’t mind. Teddy now fell silent for a moment trying to find the right words to say to her without causing a scene but he gathered that they would have to have this talk eventually. “Well.” Teddy started before stopping, he breathed in and calmed himself a little bit. “Well we’ve been seeing each other for quiet some time now. I was just wondering if we were going to make it official though I’ll completely understand if you need more time.” Teddy asked. Teddy remained silent he held his quill in his hands as he waited for Victorie to answer his question.

Although Victoire knew that this conversation was coming, she was still a bit shocked. She should of known this would come sooner than later, especially since most of her family, all one billion of them, called this coming years ago. Even last year, James bugged her what seemed like constantly about finally hooking up with Teddy, but there was more to it then, because that was when she was sort of secretly seeing Cyrus McNair. But now things could be easier, and that made Victoire glad.
Watching as Teddy spoke, Victoire was sure that there was a smile growing on her face. "No, I don't need anymore time," She said, shaking her head, as she began to answer him. "I'd love to be your girlfriend, Teddy Lupin," Victoire told him, sincerely, smile still on her face.

Teddy waited for Victorie to speak before speaking back to her, he wondered what her answer was going to be. Teddy thought that he might have maybe pushed Victorie a little bit but Teddy wanted to know where this was going not that he minded but he just wanted to know if they were going to make this official or wait a little bit he wasn’t quiet sure on what was going to happen though right about now anything could happen. Teddy remained silent as he looked back at Victorie.
Teddy was happy when he heard that Victorie said that she didn’t need any more time to answer his question he knew that this talk was bound to happen but he guessed that it would be him to start it. Teddy looked up at Victorie and smiled back at her as she explained that she would love to be his girlfriend. It was the answer that he was looking for and Teddy was glad that they were going to officially be able to tell people it meant that he could get James of his back he guessed that would never happen. “Really? You mean it?” Teddy asked. “I would love to be you’re boyfriend as well.” Teddy added with a smile on his face.

"Of course I do, Teddy," Victoire said smiling. She should of knew that this conversation was coming when he asked to ask her something, and although she didn't catch on, it didn't matter. Truthfully, Victoire believed that she was ready for this step for a while now, not that she'd let anyone know that. Last year, although she was so preoccupied trying to keep her and Cyrus on the down-low, if Teddy would of asked her to become official with him then, she would of said yes and dropped Cyrus with a blink of her eyes. Yes, it was rude, but there was only so many things a teenager could be certain of, and her caring for Teddy was one of them. Again, Victoire attributed this a lot to knowing him for most of her life.
Looking up at the clock on the mantel piece, Victoire's heart momentarily stopped. Was it always that late? Or had they just been sitting in the common room for that long? "I think I should be going off to bed," Victoire said, turning her attention back to Teddy, "Or else there's no chance I'll be able to pass this test." She felt bad for saying that she should be off, especially after the short, yet efficient, conversation the two of them just had, but Victoire spoke the truth. If she didn't attempt to have a few hours of sleep, she'd horribly fail the test.
